Weather is unpredictable -- especially weather in the midwest! I always wait until the day of a session to make a call on weather, and only reschedule if I feel that the weather will interfere with you receiving great photos. If we do need to reschedule, I will contact you to find another session date/time that works for both of us. I always keep a few extra "rain dates" available in my schedule.

I do my very best to return photos as soon as possible. Return times vary depending on the season and the type of session. Shorter sessions are typically returned within 3-5 weeks and longer sessions/weddings are typically returned within 6-8 weeks.

I'm currently based in the Lansing, Michigan area. I'm happy to travel wherever else you need me for an additional travel fee.

Wear what makes you feel most comfortable/confident is my biggest tip. Upon booking your session, I will send along some tips for choosing an outfit for your session!

No worries here! My goal as a photographer is to make you feel as comfortable as possible, whether you've had your photos taken before or not. I will work with you to suggest poses and prompts and find those that feel most authentically you. That being said, if you have any specific posing ideas or pinterest boards you've created, feel free to bring those along! :)

Past clients have found it helpful to bring: touch-up makeup, water, toys/favorite stuffed animals/snacks (to keep kids engaged!) and comfy walking shoes if we'll be walking for a bit at our location.

A  non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time. Your remaining session fee is due 1-2 weeks prior to your session, depending on the type of event. 

I always bring back-up equipment to every session so that I can be prepared should a technical mishap occur. I shoot with 2 SD cards in my camera, meaning every photo I take is always backed up onto another one. Once I get home, I immediately back up your photos onto two separate hard-drives to ensure their safety until I deliver them to you!
